Hwaseong Special City Achieves 2.9 Billion Won in Business Agreements at Overseas Buyer Export Consultation Meeting

Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jung Myung-geun) announced on the 16th that it achieved business agreement (MOU) results worth 2.05 million dollars (approximately 2.9 billion won) through the "2026 Hwaseong Special City H-TRADE Overseas Buyer Invitation Export Consultation Meeting" held at Furmire Hotel.

The 'H-TRADE Export Consultation Meeting' was hosted by Hwaseong Special City and jointly organized by the Hwaseong City Export Business Support Center and KOTRA Gyeonggi Regional Office. The consultation meeting, which was prepared to support small and medium-sized enterprises struggling with overseas marketing in opening overseas markets, was attended by 39 overseas buyers from 16 countries, who conducted a total of 313 export consultations with 81 companies located in Hwaseong Special City.

At the consultation meeting, pre-connected overseas buyers and participating companies met one-on-one to specifically discuss product price competitiveness, quality, export feasibility, and procedures. Among them, six participating companies including SEDA Co., Ltd. concluded actual contracts and business agreements (MOUs) with overseas buyers, leading to tangible results.

An Joo-hyung, CEO of SEDA Co., Ltd., said, "Through this export consultation meeting, we discovered promising overseas buyers, and some buyers showed such high interest in our products that they requested factory visits," and added, "We expect this meeting to lead to actual export results."

Additionally, a separate export product exhibition hall was set up at the event venue to introduce products from approximately 40 excellent small and medium-sized enterprises in the region. The exhibition was organized to allow participants to view diverse products and technological capabilities of the participating companies in one place, drawing the interest of overseas buyers.

Cho Seung-moon, Second Vice Mayor of Hwaseong Special City, said, "I hope this consultation meeting will serve as an opportunity to provide new export opportunities for local companies that, despite possessing excellent products and technological capabilities, face difficulties in discovering overseas buyers," and added, "We will strengthen the support foundation tailored to corporate needs so that companies can overcome difficulties in advancing into overseas markets and achieve actual contracts and exports."

Meanwhile, Hwaseong Special City is promoting various export support projects tailored to corporate needs in cooperation with the Hwaseong City Export Business Support Center, Hwaseong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Gyeonggi Provincial Institute of Economy and Science, including ▲export logistics cost support ▲overseas exhibition participation support ▲overseas market development group operation, to support local companies' entry into overseas markets.
