Osan City Establishes Four Major Youth Development Policy Initiatives
Osan City announced on the 14th that it will establish four major policy initiatives for youth development projects and promote 20 business programs.
The city has designated strengthening youth activity capabilities, improving growth environment, promoting participation and rights, and fostering youth-friendly social environment as this year's four major policy initiatives.
To realize the four policy initiatives, Osan City will promote programs related to five-day school weeks, vision schools, after-school academies, marine camps, and English education support projects for low-income youth in the dimension of strengthening youth activity capabilities.
The city will also operate support centers, cultural houses, at-risk youth support programs (CYS-NET), mentoring programs, and study rooms to improve the growth environment.
To promote youth participation and rights, the city will host comprehensive art festivals, Eoul Madang events, club activity support, and cultural experiences with people with disabilities.
To foster youth-friendly social environment, the city will carry out harmful environment inspections, activate youth guidance committee and next-generation committee activities, support special assistance targets, and conduct prevention education for delinquency and school violence.
Some related projects will be entrusted to youth organizations through preliminary public recruitment and implemented.
