Osan City to Intensify Crackdown on Illegal Advertisements through End of June
Osan City announced on the 9th that it will intensify crackdowns on illegal advertisements that damage the urban landscape through the end of June.
The city plans to form joint inspection teams with related agencies and organizations to focus on removing illegal advertisements from major entry points to the city, roadsides, commercial districts, and bicycle paths—areas with high foot traffic and key hubs.
The city will intensify crackdowns on illegal advertisements including fixed billboards, banners, air lights, signage, and display stands that may confuse pedestrian traffic and drivers' vision.
In addition, the city plans to crack down on illegal advertisements with provocative and vulgar content that is harmful to youth sentiment and damages the urban aesthetic.
During this general cleanup period, the city will encourage voluntary cleanup through advance guidance activities, while imposing administrative measures such as forced removal and fines on habitual violators.
