Osan City Hosts Silver Song Festival on Seniors' Day on the 11th

Osan City will hold a Silver Song Festival alongside a Seniors' Day commemoration event on the 11th.

At the event held at the Civic Hall on that day, with approximately 2,000 citizens in attendance, performances including samulnori (traditional Korean percussion quartet), dance, and belly dance will be showcased through presentations from senior universities and community center excellence programs.

The city will hold a Seniors' Day commemoration ceremony and present commendations to model seniors and those who have contributed to senior welfare.

Following the ceremony, the seniors' main event will feature the Silver Song Festival, invited singers, and congratulatory performances by cada-sori performers.

A city official stated, "We hope that this event will foster a spirit of filial piety and respect for elders, and serve as an opportunity to raise social awareness about senior welfare in an aging society."
