The Gokseon-dong Community Service Center in Gwonseon-gu (Director Park Young-seon) held a "Residents Forum for Regional Administration and Win-Win Cooperation" on the 7th from 5 p.m. at the Myeongdang Hall on the 3rd floor of the Gokseon-dong Community Service Center, with the participation of 36 heads of neighborhood associations in Gokseon-dong. Instructor Lee Jae-hoon was invited to discuss the integration of Suwon, Hwaseong, and Osan.
During this residents forum for regional administration and win-win cooperation, discussions served as a venue for gathering opinions on current cases and necessity of local administrative system reforms, the roles and functions of citizens for regional administration, and business proposals for the development of regional resident benefits and win-win cooperation.
The neighborhood association heads of Gokseon-dong had previously only superficial knowledge about the integration of Suwon, Hwaseong, and Osan. After listening to the instructor's explanation over the course of an hour, they came to understand why the three cities need to integrate. Through a question-and-answer session addressing their usual curiosities, they pledged to strengthen efforts in developing the three cities' administrative integration into a venue for win-win cooperation.
