On the 24th, the Jeongja 2·3 Community Service Center in Jang'an-gu hosted a "Resident Briefing Session for Metropolitan Administration and Win-Win Cooperation" with the director of the Hwaseong·Osan·Suwon Integration Promotion Committee and Suwon City Committee Chair Lee Jae-hoon as a guest lecturer.
Approximately 50 participants, including neighborhood heads, members of various organizations, and residents, attended the briefing session, where opinions were gathered on current cases and the necessity of local administrative restructuring, the roles and functions of citizens for metropolitan administration, and business proposals for local resident benefits and win-win cooperative development.
Kim Mi-sook, a participant from Jeongja 3-dong, said, "I had only thought of broad-range administration as difficult, but through the lecturer's explanation, I was able to understand it easily. I hope more people will learn about the positive effects, such as budget savings and job creation, that result from the integration."
Residents who participated in the briefing session found it to be a beneficial time after listening to the lecturer's explanation for one hour on why the three cities need to be integrated. Through a question-and-answer session addressing their usual concerns, they pledged to work toward the integration of the three cities' administrative districts developing into a venue for win-win cooperation.
