Interest Surges After TV Broadcast… Advance Survey of Haeuljae and Other Popular Attractions

According to the city on the 19th, over two days on the 16th and 17th, ten famous SNS users were invited to participate in an advance survey trip (famtrip) to visit major tourist attractions and facilities in the Suwon area.
Participants on the two-day tour visited the dolmen on Paldalsan Mountain, the 'Buseokso' stone quarry where stones were extracted to build Suwon Hwaseong, 'Mansseokgeo' and 'Nosong Jidae' created during the Jeongjo era, the ecological stream 'Suwoncheon', the 'Mural Village' in Jidong and traditional markets, and 'Haeuljae,' recently renovated as a toilet culture park.
Participants toured Suwon's major tourist attractions where history and the present coexist, highly evaluating the potential of tourism resources that had not been well known to the outside.
A city official stated, "At a time when interest in Suwon has increased due to the recent television variety show '1 Night 2 Days' introducing Suwon Hwaseong, famous SNS users will provide richer information about Suwon to other users through this advance survey trip."
The city plans to actively seek ways to enhance Suwon's image and brand value through continued promotions utilizing social media.
