Introducing Suwon's Tourist Resources Including Hwaseong Fortress and Haewoojae
Suwon City is inviting travel bloggers to help promote Suwon.
The city plans to hold a familiarization tour (pre-trip survey) on the 6th, inviting approximately 30 travel bloggers from major portal sites to visit the city's main tourist attractions and facilities.
Participants in the familiarization tour will experience various tourist resources in Suwon, including 'Haewoojae,' a toilet-shaped cultural exhibition hall, watching the 'Martial Arts 24 Techniques Performance,' touring 'Hwaseong Haenggung Palace,' hands-on crafts at the craft street in Haenggung-dong, and dining experiences at the whole chicken street and traditional markets.
In particular, this familiarization tour will allow participants to directly experience eco-transportation modes such as bicycle taxis, Segways, and recumbent bicycles to promote the upcoming 'Eco-Transportation Suwon 2013' festival in September.
Through an eco-friendly event that recreates a future society facing fossil fuel depletion in Suwon's Haenggung-dong district, travel bloggers will first see and experience it firsthand. They will be asked to focus on providing vivid information about 'Eco-Transportation Suwon 2013' and introducing it from a traveler's perspective.
A city official stated, "We expect travel bloggers to provide more abundant information about Suwon centered on Hwaseong Fortress and 'Eco-Transportation Suwon 2013,'" adding, "We plan to continuously promote Suwon's tourist resources through partnerships with travel bloggers going forward."
