Citizens United at 'Festival Gwangmyeong' Fills Autumn City with Music and Romance

Gwangmyeong City (Mayor Park Seung-won) filled the autumn cityscape with music and romance.
The city announced on the 5th that the '2026 Festival Gwangmyeong,' held over two days from the 3rd near Cheolsan Station, concluded successfully with approximately 60,000 citizens in attendance.
The festival was organized around an eight-lane road in front of Cheolsan Station, featuring music performances, experience zones, markets, and rest areas where visitors could enjoy diverse cultural offerings within the urban setting.
On the main stage, 11 artists including '10CM,' 'Daybreak,' 'Kim Jong-seo,' and 'Romantic Punch' showcased performances reflecting their distinctive styles. The autumn evening was filled with applause and cheers from citizens as the music resonated.
Alongside the main stage, the 'Open Stage' added to the excitement and enthusiasm of the citizens. Youth performances, random play dances, and street karaoke booths continued throughout, with citizens enjoying the festival both as audience members and as protagonists.

Around 20 participating booths operated near the performance venue, showcasing local culture and content. Local businesses and young artists also participated, communicating with citizens and adding vibrancy to the festival.
From families to friends and couples, diverse generations enjoyed performances, experience zones, and markets together, savoring the charm of an urban festival.
Mayor Park Seung-won of Gwangmyeong City stated, "It was deeply meaningful to see the city streets filled with music and culture, transforming into a space where citizens' laughter and joy were shared," adding, "We will make efforts to help 'Festival Gwangmyeong' develop into an even richer cultural festival."
