Poetry Recitation Festival with Youth

The Gyeonggi Province Poetry Recitation Association will host its 5th Poetry Recitation Concert. The concert will take place on Sunday, the 8th at 5 p.m. in the small performance hall of the Osan Cultural Arts Center as part of the 2013 Our Neighborhood Art Project.

The Our Neighborhood Art Project is an initiative that supports art projects that cultural and arts organizations wish to implement in neighborhoods and communities, thereby expanding shared appreciation for the arts in local communities.

The concert program reflects the overall aim of enhancing quality of life through cultural healing and fostering greater spiritual cultural enrichment.

The concert program consists of a prologue, Dream (Planting Seeds of Poetry), Hope (Blooming Flowers), NOSTALGIA (Nostalgia and Reminiscence), and Emo_musica (choral performances by the Poetry Song Chorus), featuring works of poetry by Kim Su-young, Lee Ki-chul, Song Chan-ho, Park Kyung-ri, Jung Ji-yong, Ki Hyung-do, Jung Ho-seung, and Kim Seung-hwan. Choral performances by the Poetry Song Chorus, as well as poetry dramas by the Tarae Youth Korean Classical Orchestra and the Osan Citizens Theater Company are also scheduled to be performed.

The Gyeonggi Province Poetry Recitation Association stated, “This poetry recitation concert will serve as a venue for cultural empathy that can inspire pride in the humanities transcending time.”
