Five Suwon Universities Unite for 'Supereaul Festival'

Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) held the '2026 Supereaul Suwon City University Students United Heart Festival' on the 12th at Suwon Gymnasium in Suwon Sports Complex. Approximately 500 participants, including university students, international students, and young people, attended the event.

The '2026 Supereaul,' held for the second time this year, was a festival venue where students from Kyonggi University, Dongnam Health University, Sungkyunkwan University, Suwon Women's University, and Ajou University gathered with international students to exchange, interact, and communicate. It was jointly prepared by Suwon City and the 4th Suwon City University Student Council.

'Supereaul' means 'Suwon young people's festival is really fun,' a name determined by consolidating opinions from members of the 4th Suwon City University Student Council. The Suwon City University Student Council is a consultative body where university students in the city expand exchanges and share diverse opinions.

On the main stage, joint performances by the cheerleading squads of Kyonggi University, Sungkyunkwan University, and Ajou University and invited performances by the KT Cheerleading Squad and Youth Art Team were held. Nine teams from clubs at the five universities showcased their talents and passion through diverse performances including bands, dance, musicals, DJing, and traditional music and dance.

The five universities set up university promotional booths and experiential booths for unique departments and clubs. International students operated programs introducing cultures from their respective countries, including Chinese and Vietnamese food culture experiences, world culture games, and traditional games by country.

A blind date booth planned by the 4th Suwon City University Student Council, Suwon FC experience and promotion booths, and Suwon City policy promotion booths also drew participants' attention.

Mayor Lee Jae-jun of Suwon said, "It is a meaningful festival where students from five universities communicate with each other beyond the boundaries of universities and become one under the name of Suwon. Since universities are the competitiveness of the city, we will work to create a city where young people can learn, grow, and pursue their dreams in Suwon."
