Suwon Holds 'Good Village Development Committee Workshop'
Suwon City held a 'Good Village Development Committee Workshop' on the 5th at the Industrial Bank's Giheung Training Center to explore the development direction of village renaissance initiatives.
The workshop was attended by approximately 40 people, including Lee Jae-jun, Suwon City's Vice Mayor, members of the Good Village Development Committee, and related village development officials.
Workshop participants conducted a comprehensive review of Suwon City's village renaissance policy, discussed the organization of subcommittees and their roles to activate the committee, and explored development directions for village renaissance through public recruitment projects and development of a Suwon-style village renaissance model.
Members of the Good Village Development Committee engaged in in-depth discussions on policies that had been proposed to invigorate village renaissance in Suwon.
The proposed policies include: △strengthening the village development operational system and promoting sustainable village development △enhancing the functions of the Village Renaissance Center △establishing a Suwon-style village development model and ways to adapt it to the Korean context △creating a convergence city of Suwon through village renaissance △community business projects △launching expert matching projects for village development △and promoting the activation of the Suwon Station Multicultural Food Land.
