Suwon to Operate Citizen Bicycle Rental Stations Around Hwaseong Fortress
Suwon City announced on the 2nd that it will operate citizen bicycle rental stations for the convenience of visitors to Suwon Hwaseong.
Four bicycle rental stations in the city have been installed at Haenggung Plaza, Hwaseo Gate, Jangan Gate, and Yeonmudae within Suwon Hwaseong, with 170 public bicycles in operation.
The bicycles provided by the city consist of three types: adult, women's, and children's models, allowing visitors to choose a bicycle suited to their gender or age.
To rent a bicycle, visitors must bring a valid ID card. The rental fee is 1,000 won per use, and bicycles are available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The bicycle rental station operation period runs until November 30th.
A city official stated, "By using citizen bicycles, visitors can conveniently tour Suwon Hwaseong's architectural structures including the four main gates of Suwon Hwaseong, Suwon Stream, Hwahong Gate, Banghwa Suryujeong Pavilion, Yeonmudae, and Suwon Hwaseong Museum, and can additionally experience nearby traditional markets and the Haenggung-dong Eco-Traffic Village."
Meanwhile, the city plans to install bicycle rental stations on Gwanggyo Mountain to provide environmental conservation and health and convenience benefits for hikers.
