Uiwang City Holds Basic Living Security Committee Meeting

Uiwang City held the "First 2016 Uiwang City Basic Living Security Committee Meeting" on the 23rd, attended by 11 committee members including Uiwang City Mayor Kim Sung-je.

During the meeting, the committee deliberated on five matters to ensure living stability and systematic management of basic livelihood security recipients and the lower-income bracket, including the basic direction of livelihood security projects, integrated investigation annual survey plans, self-reliance support business plans, and appropriateness of support targets for the comprehensive care project.

Last year, through the Basic Living Security Committee, the city established an emergency support system for crisis households and an active protection system for basic livelihood security recipients, resulting in its selection as an outstanding local government by the Ministry of Health and Welfare for two consecutive years. The city also ranked first in Gyeonggi Province in government joint evaluations for the new beneficiary discovery sector.

Mayor Kim Sung-je stated, "Through the early settlement of customized welfare individual benefits, we will provide benefits to more underprivileged groups, build a welfare administration that actively responds to new changes, and make our best efforts to discover vulnerable neighbors in welfare blind spots."
