Suwon Museum of Art and Staedtler Korea Recruit Participants for Jeong Seung-bin's "Museum Travel Drawing" Program

Suwon Museum of Art (Director Oh Min-beom) announced that it will jointly operate the <Museum Travel Drawing> program with German stationery company Staedtler Korea and artist Jeong Seung-bin from October 16 to November 6, and is recruiting participants.

<Museum Travel Drawing> is an urban drawing program that made its debut last year. This year, it will be conducted with Jeong Seung-bin, an exclusive artist at Staedtler Korea and urban sketch artist, at the Suwon Museum of Art Education Center. A total of four sessions will be held every Friday at 1 p.m.

Artist Jeong Seung-bin participated as a demo artist in the "2026 Asialink Sketchwalk Pune" and served as an illustrator for the drama <The Wind Blows>. He also participated as a co-author in "The World of Urban Sketching" (2022) and contributed as a Korean artist to "Urban Sketch Handbook: 101 Sketching Tips."

The program consists of four sessions. The first session covers "Creating Lines" to learn about materials and types of lines. The second session addresses "Form and Space" for spatial expression and understanding. The third session focuses on "Adding Light and Shadow" with coloring and color matching based on perspective. The final fourth session is conducted as on-site instruction to complete urban sketches through observation points and composition.

This program will recruit a total of 15 participants, and anyone over 18 years old can participate. The participation fee is 30,000 won, and participants will receive supplies including pigment liners and pencils from Staedtler Korea. Applications are accepted from September 30 (Wednesday) on the Suwon Museum of Art website (https://suma.suwon.go.kr).

Director Oh Min-beom of Suwon Museum of Art stated, "I hope this will provide an opportunity for people to experience art closely in their daily lives and directly feel the diversity of culture and art that the museum offers." He added, "It is particularly meaningful that through collaboration with a company, we can provide citizens with beneficial programs and access to excellent art supplies."
