Prior to the town hall meeting, Superintendent Ahn visited Migeum Elementary School and walked with students on their way to school. He exchanged morning greetings with students arriving at school and examined a safe school environment together with school officials.

At the town hall meeting on that day, around 300 people attended, including local parents, school principals, National Assemblyman Kim Tae-nyeon, former National Assemblyman Kim Byeong-wook, Kuk Jung-beom, chairman of the Gyeonggi Province Assembly's Education Planning Committee, provincial and municipal council members including Pang Seong-hwan, floor leader of the People Power Party, and others.

At the venue, questions from parents continued regarding ▲commute route safety ▲concerns about Gyeonggi Province Office of Education's education finances following amendments to the Local Education Finance Act ▲education direction in the AI era ▲financial support for university tuition for multi-child families, and other matters.

Superintendent Ahn emphasized regarding commute route safety, "Children's safety can never be compromised," and stressed "I will protect children's safety." In particular, mentioning the dangers of e-scooter use around schools, he stated, "We are considering enacting ordinances to limit the use of e-scooters around schools for student safety."

Regarding education finances, he explained that he will work to secure necessary funds through close communication with the government and local governments. He also expressed opinions on the AI education system that the Provincial Office of Education is preparing for with a target date of January next year, and the need for legal and institutional improvements to reduce the burden of university tuition costs on multi-child families.

Lee Sang-cheol, superintendent of the Sungnam Office of Education, discussed local education issues with parents by responding to the overcrowded classroom problem in the Wiryae area, school after-school program fee support, and middle school proximity-based assignment.

Following his visit to Sungnam, Superintendent Ahn plans to continue on-site communication with parents by visiting Bucheon, Siheung, and Gwangmyeong on October 6.
