Hwaseong City Recruits 41 Participants for Equestrian Experience Programs for Vulnerable Groups and Youth

Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun) is recruiting a total of 41 participants across three categories of equestrian experience support programs to promote emotional stability and healthy physical activity for vulnerable groups and youth.

The recruitment covers ▲10 participants for social welfare equestrian experience ▲13 participants for youth educational equestrian programs ▲18 participants for student equestrian experience (social welfare), with different recruitment periods and application methods for each program.

The social welfare equestrian experience targets three persons with disabilities, five individuals from socially disadvantaged groups including low-income families, multicultural families, single-parent households, and North Korean defectors, and two persons from trauma-affected professions such as soldiers, police officers, and firefighters. Participants will receive full support for a total of 10 equestrian sessions and rider insurance coverage.

Applications are accepted until October 8th. Prospective participants can apply by submitting an application form through relevant institutions and departments to the Livestock Policy Division of Hwaseong Special City. The program will operate through December.

The youth educational equestrian program targets a total of 13 youth, including six out-of-school youth and seven victims of school violence. Participants will receive full support for a total of 30 equestrian sessions and rider insurance coverage, and will be provided opportunities for emotional stability through interaction with horses and career exploration related to the horse industry.

Applications are accepted until October 8th. Youth interested in participating can apply through relevant youth support organizations and counseling centers.

The student equestrian experience (social welfare) program provides a total of 10 equestrian sessions for 18 elementary, middle, and high school students within the city from socially disadvantaged backgrounds and students with disabilities. The program helps students build confidence and concentration through equestrian activities and experience healthy physical activity.

Applications are available until October 13th through the Horspia website (www.horsepia.com). Applicants must register for membership and enter the identification code provided by their school to apply. Selection results will be announced individually via text message after 4 p.m. on October 20th. Applications are not processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and those not selected may not be accepted if recruitment capacity is exceeded.

We hope this program becomes an opportunity for persons with disabilities, socially disadvantaged groups, and youth to gain new experiences and opportunities for psychological recovery."
