Hwaseong City Recruits Additional 9 Residents for Care-Assured Housing 'Jinan On(溫)Iumchanae'

Hwaseong City (Mayor Jung Myung-geun) is recruiting additional residents for the care-assured housing 'Jinan On(溫)Iumchanae' to support elderly residents in need of care to spend a healthy and safe retirement in their local community.

This recruitment, following the selection in June, will add 9 long-term residents. Applicants must be registered and residing in Hwaseong City as of the announcement date, September 4, 2026, be age 65 or older, be members of households without housing, and be among those receiving national basic livelihood assistance or those in the low-income bracket facing crisis situations requiring simultaneous housing and care support as integrated care recipients.

Residents will be selected in order of highest scores based on scoring criteria including length of residence in Hwaseong City, age, and level of care needs.

The care-assured housing 'Jinan On(溫)Iumchanae' is located in Jinan-dong, Byeongjeom-gu, with a dedicated area of 43.53㎡ (approximately 13.16 pyeong) per unit, featuring 2 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and bathroom. For residents' convenience, basic household appliances and furniture are provided, and AI digital care services by unit support safe living for residents.

The initial lease period is 2 years, with subsequent renewals in 2-year units up to a maximum of 10 years of residence. The monthly rent is 266,650 won, with no personal burden for basic livelihood assistance recipients, and a 50% reduction for low-income bracket residents. Residents bear management fees and utility costs.

Applications can be submitted from September 4 (Friday) through 15 (Tuesday) by visiting the care team at the Administrative Welfare Center in the applicant's residential area. Finally selected residents are expected to move in sequentially beginning in October.

Yi Yeon-ok, Director of the Integrated Care Division, said, “Jinan On(溫)Iumchanae is not merely a housing provision space but a place that supports both housing and care for elderly residents in need of care to live stably in their familiar community,” adding, “We will carefully support elderly residents experiencing difficulties with care due to housing issues to receive necessary services in a more stable environment.”
