Gwangmyeong Library to Present Children's Musical 'Monster Hotel' for Multicultural Understanding

Gwangmyeong Library in Gwangmyeong City will present an interactive children's musical, 'Monster Hotel,' on October 17 at the library's auditorium to promote multicultural understanding and raise awareness.

Gwangmyeong Library announced that the performance is being organized as part of the "Values We Connect Together" project aimed at creating a community that understands diverse cultures and respects differences.

The musical 'Monster Hotel' tells the story of friendship and adventure between a monster and a human named Johnny, and will be conducted as an interactive, two-way performance with audience participation. The performance is designed to allow children to understand and respect each other's differences while learning the values of "difference" and "togetherness" through the show.

Seo Jun-hee, director of Gwangmyeong Library, stated, "I hope that through this performance, children will naturally understand diverse cultures and learn to respect each other's differences. Since this is a performance that both children and families can enjoy together, we welcome your interest and participation."

The performance will be held at 2 p.m. on October 17. Applications can be made starting at 10 a.m. on September 30 through the Gwangmyeong City Library website (gmlib.gm.go.kr). Admission is free and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
