Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun: "Complete Suwon's Great Transformation Until Citizens Say 'Things Have Changed'"

Suwon Special Decree Mayor Lee Jae-jun announced on the 1st, "I will complete Suwon's great transformation through changes in the lives of each and every citizen."
At the '9th Civilian-Led Government Suwon Great Transformation Vision Briefing' held at the Suwon Convention Center on that day, Mayor Lee stated, "In the 9th civilian-led government, Suwon will make 'how much the citizens' lives have actually changed' the standard for city administration," adding "Citizens will feel that things have changed when monthly living expenses decrease, small business operations improve, and good jobs are created."
He then said, "I will specifically change citizens' lives," presenting three key numbers: '1049', '2700', and '140'.
1049 represents the annual reduction in living expenses (10.49 million won) that a household of five can achieve by receiving support for all three major living costs—transportation, education, and medical care. 2700 represents the debt amount (270 billion won) paid off by Suwon City during the 8th civilian-led government. 140 is the number of detailed projects (140 projects) that Suwon City will implement and manage during the 9th civilian-led government.

As city administration goals to complete the 9th civilian-led government vision of "Completion of Suwon's Great Transformation," he presented ▲stabilized living livelihood city ▲cultural tourism cooperation city ▲cutting-edge science research city.
Mayor Lee stated, "I will reduce citizens' living expenses and increase leisure time in their lives," adding "I will also make people come to Suwon, stay, spend money in the region, and visit again." He further said, "I will create a structure where research and businesses gather, investments continue, and that growth returns to citizens as good jobs and opportunities."
As principles of work for Suwon City, he presented 'listening and communication'—asking citizens and starting policies from citizens' voices; 'citizen satisfaction'—viewing citizens' actual changes in life as results; and 'future responsibility'—ensuring that today's choices and investments lead to Suwon's future.
Mayor Lee stated, "I will continue to listen to voices from the field and continuously verify, evaluate, and improve policies," emphasizing "I will definitely complete Suwon's great transformation together with citizens."
