Mayor Lee presented Yongin Special City Mayor's Commendation certificates to three residents who served for local development and practiced sharing with neighbors, expressing his gratitude for their dedication.

In his congratulatory address, Mayor Lee stated, "I sincerely congratulate the holding of this meaningful event aimed at promoting the development of Idong Eup and fostering harmony among residents. As Yongin leaps forward to become a global semiconductor hub city, Idong Eup stands at the center of this transformation."

The mayor said, "During the development of new cities, the city will strive to ensure smooth compensation and relocation, just as with the national industrial complex. We plan to expand cultural and arts spaces including performance venues and art museums, and to develop sports and leisure facilities in the area stretching from Yongdeok Reservoir to Idong Reservoir to make it a space that citizens enjoy visiting."

Mayor Lee added, "These projects require time and continued budget investment, so we ask for your patience as we carefully develop them one by one. There may be inconveniences that residents experience during this period of great change, so please let us know if there are any uncomfortable issues. The city will continue to communicate and carefully address your concerns to minimize resident inconvenience."

During the event, sports competitions were held in various categories including inter-village jokgu (Korean footvolley) tournament, soccer, table tennis, gateball, and tennis.

A community sports day and singing contest featuring activities such as footbag, shoe archery, hula hooping, and grandma's pocket tossing—activities open to all residents—were held, providing residents with an opportunity to come together and strengthen community solidarity.
