Gyeonggi Province Supplies Reusable Containers to 5 Professional Basketball Teams' Arenas

Gyeonggi Province Company is supplying reusable containers to food trucks and concessions within the home stadiums of 5 professional basketball teams in the province to reduce single-use product consumption.

The reusable container supply program, which began at Goyang Sono Skygunners' home game on the 3rd, targets 5 professional basketball teams in the province: Anyang Cheongkwanjang Red Boosters (Anyang Cheongkwanjang Arena), Goyang Sono Skygunners (Goyang Sono Arena), Suwon KT Sonicboom (Suwon KT Sonicboom Arena), Yongin Samsung Life Bluewings (Yongin Indoor Sports Complex), and Bucheon Hana Bank (Bucheon Sports Complex).

To ensure spectators can use them conveniently, the company is supplying reusable food packaging containers and reusable cups, and providing overall operational support including collection and cleaning. Return bins and promotional materials will also be installed within stadiums.

This year's reusable container support program for sports stadiums covers not only professional basketball but also 16 teams across soccer and volleyball, with plans to supply approximately 600,000 reusable containers.

An official from Gyeonggi Province Company stated, "Through cooperation with the teams, we plan to display guide videos on stadium LED screens regarding the use and return of reusable containers, and inform the public about the cleaning process and hygiene management of the containers. We will continue to make efforts so that the use of reusable containers expands in various living spaces including sports stadiums."
