Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun: "Practice Proactive Administration That Citizens Can Feel"

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jeong Jun-sung] Suwon Special Municipality Mayor Lee Jae-jun met with public officials who practice proactive administration and urged them to "continue practicing proactive administration that citizens can feel going forward."

The mayor met with and encouraged six outstanding public officials practicing proactive administration, including Jo Kyung-ae, Head of the Low Birth Rate Response Team, and Choi Young-hee, Veteran Team Leader at Citizen Hall, at his office on the 2nd and exchanged views with them.

The city was selected as a top-tier institution, ranking first among basic local governments in the "2023 Comprehensive Evaluation of Proactive Administration by Local Governments" conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. Veteran civil servants with over 20 years of experience working at the New Light Civil Affairs Center listened to citizens' voices and ran between administrative departments and the field, resolving complex and chronic civil complaints on a one-stop basis, which received positive reviews.

Meanwhile, the mayor and public officials held hand-held signs inscribed with phrases encouraging proactive administration and pledged to practice proactive administration.

Mayor Lee Jae-jun said, "I express my gratitude on behalf of citizens to all employees who have worked hard for the people," and added, "I will ensure that employees who work proactively are properly rewarded and treated well."
