Yangju City held a 2017 major project progress report meeting on the 16th and 17th to realize an inspiring Yangju through seamless execution of promise projects and social infrastructure development.
The report meeting covered a total of 110 projects including 39 promise projects, 21 social infrastructure projects, 39 pending projects, and 12 new (supplementary) projects, with in-depth discussions on implementation plans, issues, and countermeasures from division chiefs and responsible officials.
Major pending projects include ▲promotion of Emotional Yangju (Gamdongyangju) 365 civic practice campaign, ▲comprehensive measures to improve integrity in 2017, ▲establishment of regional elderly welfare centers and sports centers, ▲construction of children's cultural centers, ▲Dobongsan-Okjeong Metropolitan Railway construction project, and ▲National Route 39 facility improvement project.
Mayor Lee Sung-ho urged, "Establish a public servant stance that is trusted by citizens, execute major projects including promise projects and social infrastructure according to plan to realize inspiring Yangju, and make all-out efforts to revitalize the common people's economy and stabilize the regional economy through early execution in the first half of the year."
