Dongducheon City Holds "Government Briefing with Media" Session

Dongducheon City held a government briefing session with media representatives on the morning of the 3rd in a small conference room to discuss the status of road network construction projects, including metropolitan road networks and access roads within the city.

The briefing focused on the progress of four metropolitan transportation networks, including the opening of the Guri-Pocheon Expressway, and two urban access road network construction projects, including the Pyeongwharo (Changmal Pass) dangerous road improvement project.

A city official stated, "We expect that the construction of transportation networks connecting the city with the east and west, as well as the north and south, will greatly help reduce travel time to the Seoul metropolitan area and beyond."

Mayor Oh Se-chang of Dongducheon City, who attended the briefing, said, "Dongducheon is aiming to become the number one tourist and leisure city in the Seoul metropolitan area. The early realization of our city's vision requires the establishment of convenient road networks." He added, "We will make our best efforts to construct convenient road networks through close cooperation with central government ministries and Gyeonggi Province."

Dongducheon City is making efforts to improve road services by implementing a total of 10 access road network construction projects within the city with a budget of 32.4 billion won.
