Gyeonggi Province Selects Yongin City as Top Agency in 8th Integrity Awards

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Kim Ah-hyun] Gyeonggi Province recently held an integrity awards screening committee and selected Yongin City as the top institution for the 8th Gyeonggi Province Integrity Awards. Suwon City was chosen for excellence, Paju City for commendation, and Gyeonggi Province's Rivers Division received commendation in the department division.

Yongin City received high scores for achieving Grade II in the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission's integrity evaluation last year and Grade A in the Board of Audit and Inspection's self-auditing activity evaluation in 2018, as well as for operating a supervisory report system that includes prospective residents in the supervision of apartment construction projects.

Suwon City, which received the excellence award, was recognized for implementing anti-corruption measures by establishing the nation's first online vehicle dealer transfer registration system. Paju City, which received commendation, was acknowledged for expanding the scope of routine audits to include the private subsidy sector.

Gyeonggi Province's Rivers Division, which received awards for the second consecutive year following last year, was selected again for receiving an S grade in the province's integrity activity participation index evaluation and for consistently implementing integrity activities including the operation of integrity days.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held next month at Gyeonggi Province's Empathy and Communication Day event.

Choi In-soo, Auditor General of Gyeonggi Province, said, “We will disseminate the excellent integrity policies discovered during the deliberation process to all cities and counties in the province so that an integrity culture can spread.”
