Jangsu County Governor Jang Young-soo Expresses Gratitude to Suwon City for Purchasing Apples

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Suh Dong-young] Jang Young-soo, governor of Jangsu County in North Jeolla Province, visited Suwon City Hall on the 26th to express gratitude to Suwon City for its assistance in selling Jangsu apples, a signature product known as 'Hongro.'

Jangsu County farmers faced difficulties selling apples after the region's flagship festival 'Hanwoo and Apples,' scheduled for September 6-8, was cancelled due to Typhoon Lingling.

Upon learning of Jangsu County's situation, Suwon City participated in an 'apple sales promotion campaign.' Mayor Yeom Tae-young, city employees, and related organizations and groups purchased 10 tons of apples (1,000 boxes of 10-kilogram apples) on the 23rd. Mayor Yeom Tae-young also promoted Jangsu County apples through his personal social media.

During his visit, Governor Jang Young-soo met with Vice Mayor Jo Chung-sik and presented Jangsu apple juice as a token of his appreciation.
