Pyeongtaek City Hosts Dasari Forum with Honorary Professor Jung Yun-jae

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] The November Dasari Forum, held to carry on the lifelong learning activities of Minse Ahn Jae-hong, took place on the 14th in the conference hall of Pyeongtaek City Hall.

With Honorary Professor Jung Yun-jae of the Academy of Korean Studies invited as guest speaker, the forum proceeded under the theme of "Ahn Jae-hong's Open Nationalism and the Identity of International City Pyeongtaek."

Honorary Professor Jung, a first-generation researcher of Ahn Jae-hong, has contributed to Ahn Jae-hong's renewed attention through his authorship of a biography of Ahn Jae-hong and approximately 40 years of research on Ahn Jae-hong's international nationalism theory, Dasari state theory, and cultural construction theory.

Additionally, through the rediscovery of traditional society leaders including King Sejong and in-depth research on major political leaders following liberation, he has pioneered the field of Korean political leadership studies. He has also practiced the spirit of Ahn Jae-hong's Joseon Studies Movement. Recognizing his achievements, Honorary Professor Jung has been selected as the recipient of the 10th Minse Award.

Meanwhile, the 10th Minse Award ceremony, held to inherit and develop the spirit of patriotism and social integration of Minse Ahn Jae-hong, is planned to take place on the 28th at the main auditorium of the Seoul YMCA Building.
