Pyeongtaek City Holds Final Presentation on Comprehensive Tourism Promotion Plan
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Pyeongtaek City held a final presentation meeting for the "Comprehensive Tourism Promotion Plan for Pyeongtaek City and Revitalization Plan for Songtan Tourism Special Zone" on the 18th at the City Hall Integrated Defense and Situation Room, with approximately 40 attendees including city council members, department heads, division chiefs, tourism experts, and related organizations.
The project was initiated in February and conducted over a 10-month period. It was carried out to establish concrete plans with competitiveness and feasibility that would attract tourists while showcasing Pyeongtaek City's unique identity and revitalize the local economy.
Lee Han-ho, CEO of Juice Company Inc., who presented at the final report meeting, proposed 28 projects under the vision of "Pyeongtaek: A Leisure City of 500,000" to pursue three strategic objectives: ▲linking tourism resources ▲creating a distinctive impression ▲fostering a perception shift toward a leisure city. Following the presentation of the final project report, a discussion session was held to share various opinions.
Mayor Jung Jang-seon of Pyeongtaek City said, "The projects presented at the final presentation meeting will be developed into detailed implementation plans for promoting tourism in Pyeongtaek City, and through inter-departmental collaboration, we will lay the foundation for becoming a tourism city that meets the expectations of our citizens."
