Pyeongtaek Concludes Regional College Entrance Exam Information Sessions
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Pyeongtaek City held a 2020 college entrance exam information session at the Small Concert Hall of Pyeongtaek North Culture and Arts Center on the 23rd, targeting test-takers (prospective test-takers) and parents.
Following the Western region information session on August 24 (special rural and fisheries selection) and the Southern region session on August 29 (regular admission selection), the Northern region marked the completion of Pyeongtaek City's regional college entrance exam information sessions tailored to each region's characteristics.
The college entrance exam information session, held under the theme of "Analysis of 2020 College Entrance Examination Results and 2021 College Entrance Exam Strategy," featured lecturer Oh Su-seok from the Korean Council for University Education (Gyeonggi Province Education Office Career Representative Lecturer and teacher at Somyeong Girls' High School) delivering college entrance exam information to test-takers who took the 2020 College Entrance Examination and high school students in grades 1 and 2, as well as parents. A question-and-answer session followed the lecture.
Meanwhile, the city and Pyeongtaek City Youth Career Support Center provided various college entrance programs this year, including 18 on-campus information sessions, 1 college entrance exam fair, 3 regional information sessions, and 4 special college entrance exam lectures. The city is also promoting projects such as region-specialized career experience programs.
