Pyeongtaek City Holds Completion Ceremony for 'Big Data Expert Training Program'
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Pyeongtaek City held a completion ceremony on the 29th of last month for the 'Big Data Analysis and Application Expert Training Program,' which was pursued as part of a youth job creation project.
It is one of the vocational training projects for nurturing talent in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It was launched for the first time this year to nurture talent and connect young unemployed residents of the city to jobs through practical, project-based training. From September, 30 trainees participated in the short-term intensive training over three months (480 hours).
At the completion ceremony, the trainees set six topics, such as 'Utilizing Pyeongtaek City's civil complaint site through big data analysis' and 'Recommending cooking recipes by analyzing leftover ingredients,' and presented their achievements by team. The training program concluded with awards for outstanding teams and the presentation of completion certificates.
The city plans to continue to provide trainees with personalized employment support services, such as mentoring and cover letter analysis, to strengthen their employment capabilities even after completion.
Meanwhile, in addition to the big data training, the city is training a total of 53 young people across three cohorts through the operation of a drone expert training program.
A city official said, "We thank the trainees who diligently completed the intensive eight-hour daily training over the past three months. We will also strive to support their employment so that they can demonstrate the capabilities they have built up."
