Jang-an Ward Holds Public Information Session on Haeujae District Land Survey Project
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon City's Jang-an Ward held a public information session on December 18th at the Haeujae Cultural Center for approximately 60 landowners and residents regarding the designation of the Haeujae District land survey project for 2020.
The land survey project is a national initiative to convert paper cadastral records manually written during the Japanese colonial period into digital cadastral data and correct land boundaries to match actual usage conditions. Application for project districts requires the consent of two-thirds or more of all landowners.
The public information session was held to explain the purpose and implementation procedures of the project for 191 parcels (84,151 square meters) in the Imok-dong 186-3 area prior to the commencement of the land survey project, and to address residents' questions and obtain their agreement.
A district official said, "The land survey project is an initiative to protect citizens' property rights through resolving boundary disputes and providing accurate land information," and added, "For the successful implementation of the project, active participation from landowners is necessary, so we ask for your active attention and cooperation."
