Kwonseon-gu Welcomes Gil Young-bae as 28th District Chief

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Kwonseon-gu in Suwon held the inauguration ceremony for the 28th District Chief Gil Young-bae on the 2nd at the district office conference hall.

In his inauguration speech, District Chief Gil stated, "I will play a leading role in building 'Suwon's future, Kwonseon together' and listen carefully even to the smallest voices of residents to create a continuously growing Kwonseon-gu." He continued, "I will create a caring, sharing city for social integration and a trust-based community with open communication, a safe city where residents can live with peace of mind, and a desirable cultural city through the development of residents' happiness, culture, and art infrastructure."

He also said, "I ask all public officials to take ownership and do their utmost for the infinite development of Kwonseon-gu, which is Suwon's hope," and added, "Let us together build a culture of communication and harmony in our organization to make Kwonseon-gu the most desirable place to live."

District Chief Gil began his public service career in 1987 and served in key positions including chief of Kwonseon 1-dong, head of the Secretariat, and director of the Culture and Arts Division. He was promoted to Grade 1 Administrative Official in 2019 and worked as director of the Culture, Sports, and Education Bureau before being selected as the 28th Kwonseon-gu District Chief in this personnel reshuffle.
