Lee Dong-gi Inaugurated as 8th Deputy Mayor of Suwon Metropolitan City

Lee Dong-gi was inaugurated as the 8th Deputy Mayor of Suwon Metropolitan City on the 14th.

The newly appointed deputy mayor received his appointment certificate from Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun at his office on that day and began his duties.

The newly appointed deputy mayor previously served as an administrative official at the Presidential Secretariat under the Roh Moo-hyun administration, integrity citizen monitor at the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, non-standing director at the Korea Mine Reclamation Corporation, vice chairperson of the Democratic Party's Policy Committee and director of the Democratic Research Institute, and director of the Construction Industry Information Institute.

Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun said, "Deputy Mayor Lee Dong-gi is a person who understands the central government, understands local communities, and understands the field," and added, "I hope he will actively promote Suwon's value and strengthen cooperation between the central government, Gyeonggi Province, and Suwon City."
