Suwon to Recruit Users for Developmental Rehabilitation Service Vouchers
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon City is recruiting users for the '2020 Developmental Rehabilitation Service Voucher' until the 12th of next month.
The developmental rehabilitation service voucher is a program that supports children and adolescents with disabilities under 18 years old during their growth period to use services for improvement in cognitive, communication, adaptive behavior, sensory, and motor functions, as well as behavioral development.
Once selected as a beneficiary, from March 1st onwards, users can receive developmental rehabilitation services in various fields including speech, rehabilitation, and psychology at 44 'Developmental Rehabilitation Service Provider' institutions designated by the city.
Applicants must be children and adolescents with visual, hearing, speech, intellectual, autism spectrum, or cerebral palsy disabilities from households with incomes at or below 180% of the median income standard.
The amount of voucher support varies depending on the income standard (basic livelihood security, next-tier assistance, 65% or below, 120% or below, 180% or below).
Young children under 6 years old without disability registration can apply by submitting a 'Developmental Rehabilitation Service Referral Form' and 'Detailed Domain Assessment Results and Assessment Materials' if developmental rehabilitation services are deemed necessary and disability is anticipated.
Citizens wishing to use the service should prepare documents including the Social Security Benefits/Voucher Card Issuance Application Form, health insurance eligibility verification certificate, and health insurance premium payment confirmation (for one year), and submit them by visiting the Administrative Welfare Center in their residential area.
Detailed information including application guidelines and service provider designation status can be found on the city website (http://www.suwon.go.kr) under 'Suwon News → City Updates' by searching for 'Developmental Rehabilitation'.
