Pyeongtaek's Mubong Mountain Sledge Park Closes Early to Prevent Virus Spread
[Suwon Ilbo=Seo Dong-young Reporter] Mubong Mountain Youth Training Center of the Pyeongtaek City Youth Foundation (Jinwi-myeon, Pyeongtaek), a incorporated foundation, closed its sledge park early to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The sledge park, which opened on December 21 of last year, was scheduled to operate until the 2nd of next month, but closed early on the 27th to participate in efforts to prevent virus spread.
The sledge park, which operated two slopes for infants and adults, saw a more than 150% increase in visitors compared to the previous season. With a total of 17,360 visitors over 37 days, it recorded the highest number of visitors since 2010.
The Mubong Mountain Youth Training Center sledge park plans to reopen in December this year after reinforcing facilities and programs.
