[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Pyeongtaek City announced on the 5th that the 'Hang in There, Boss' campaign being conducted by the city is spreading throughout Pyeongtaek.

As of the morning of the 4th, the 'Hang in There, Boss' campaign has approximately 100 participants based on hashtag searches identified by the city.

The 'Hang in There, Boss' campaign is an initiative led by Pyeongtaek City to revitalize the sluggish local economy and support struggling small business owners. Residents can participate by visiting traditional markets, alley shops, and restaurants, and then posting introduction texts about the shops along with SNS verification photos.

For more details on how to participate, visit the Pyeongtaek City Hall website or the Pyeongtaek City Volunteer Center website.

Meanwhile, on the 4th, Pyeongtaek Mayor Jung Jang-seon and singer Park Sang-min, a public relations ambassador for Pyeongtaek City, visited traditional markets including Anjung Market and Seojeongri Market, as well as the Hapjeong-dong Clam Market shopping complex, where they introduced the 'Hang in There, Boss' campaign to citizens visiting these areas and urged their participation.

In addition, they visited local shops to listen to the situations of merchants struggling due to COVID-19 and offered words of comfort and encouragement.

Mayor Jung Jang-seon said, "Since local government disaster basic income is being distributed and the nation has announced payment plans, consumer sentiment will gradually improve. Since the fundamental purpose of disaster basic income is to stimulate the local economy through sound consumption, we will strengthen promotional efforts so that more citizens participate in the 'Hang in There, Boss' campaign and help local merchants."
