Suwon City Recruits Commissioned Operator for Lifelong Learning Center and Foreign Language Village

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon City will open a public recruitment for a commissioned operator to integrate and operate the Suwon Lifelong Learning Center and Foreign Language Village starting in September.

Eligible applicants are non-profit organizations with their primary business location in Gyeonggi Province or Seoul as of the announcement date (announcement period: June 17–July 7) that are education-related corporations, institutions, or organizations capable of efficiently managing and operating the Lifelong Learning Center. Consortium (joint operation) structures are also permitted.

The selected organization will manage overall operations including planning and operating Lifelong Learning Center and Foreign Language Village programs, constructing foreign language education experience facilities, and maintaining and managing facilities for three years beginning September 1 of this year.

Operating expenses will be supported within the city's annual budget. Based on the 2020 budget, this amounts to 2.434 billion won.

The selection process will require deliberation and decision by the Commissioned Organization Selection Review Committee. Selection will be conducted according to the commissioned organization selection review criteria, with the highest-scoring corporation to be selected. However, if the highest scorer falls below 70 points, the position will be re-recruited with no qualified candidate.

Additionally, applicants must attend the Commissioned Organization Selection Review Committee, present their business plans, and answer questions from committee members. Results will be individually notified to the selected organization.

The application period is June 6–7 next month. After completing the application form, applicants must submit it in person to the 'Suwon City Hall Education and Youth Department Lifelong Learning Team (4th Floor, Annex, 241 Hyowon-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon City)'. Courier and postal submissions are not accepted.
