Pyeongtaek City's Super Opning Participates in 'Korea Premium Local Products Festival 2020'

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Pyeongtaek City has been participating in the 'Korea Premium Local Products Festival 2020' at KINTEX in Ilsan, hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, from the 16th to the 19th for four days.

The exhibition was held to develop market outlets for regional agricultural and specialty products and promote consumption, with approximately 500 booths set up from various regions across the country.

The city displayed and promoted Pyeongtaek City's agricultural and specialty product brand 'Super Opning,' agricultural and specialty products produced in Pyeongtaek City, and processed products made from specialty items at this exhibition.

Additionally, in the awards ceremony for outstanding companies at the Korea Premium Local Products Festival 2020, the city was selected as an outstanding organization for its distinctive marketing activities including various promotional efforts, and received the honor of winning the 'Premium Marketing Award of the Year.'

Pyeongtaek Mayor Jeong Jang-sun stated, "Due to COVID-19 causing the exhibition to be postponed, farmers have been facing significant difficulties from reduced consumption," and added, "Through this event, as Pyeongtaek City's representative agricultural and specialty product brand 'Super Opning' becomes more widely known, we expect this to lead to increased farm household income."
