Gwonseon-gu Distributes Illegal Parking Enforcement Guidance Promotional Materials
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Gwonseon-gu, Suwon distributed illegal parking enforcement guidance cooperation letters and promotional materials to 12 administrative welfare centers and 33 elementary schools in the district on the 17th.
Following the implementation of a citizen reporting system for illegal parking in school zones to strengthen children's pedestrian safety around elementary schools, the promotional materials include guidelines on reporting requirements and reporting methods for the "five major illegal parking prohibition zones."
Vehicles parked in the five illegal parking prohibition zones (▲crosswalks ▲within 5 meters of intersection corners ▲within 10 meters of bus stops ▲within 5 meters of fire hydrants ▲school zones) can be reported using the "Safety Report" mobile application. For the newly added school zones, vehicles illegally parked on the road in front of the main gate of elementary schools between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays are subject to reporting.
Meanwhile, the district has been conducting special enforcement operations in school zones during morning and afternoon school hours at 33 elementary schools in Gwonseon-gu since May when school attendance resumed.
