[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon City will conduct intensive inspections on October 31st of high-risk facilities expected to attract large crowds on Halloween.

From the evening of October 30-31 through early morning the following day, Suwon City will jointly conduct inspections with Gyeonggi Province and police of entertainment bars such as clubs and general restaurants larger than 150㎡ in the areas around Ingyedong and Suwon Station.

Inspection teams composed of officials from Suwon City and Gyeonggi Province and police officers will inspect ▲installation and usage of digital entry logs ▲status of handwritten record management ▲mask-wearing compliance among workers and customers ▲facility disinfection and ventilation status, among other items.

Businesses in violation of quarantine rules will be subject to administrative action under a zero-tolerance policy.

Meanwhile, club-type establishments frequented by younger demographics have agreed to temporarily close on Halloween.

Jung Yong-gil, head of the Sanitation Policy Division of Suwon City, stated, "With social distancing restrictions easing and large crowds expected to gather on Halloween, citizens are anxious," and added, "We will conduct thorough inspections to prevent the spread of COVID-19."
