Maesandong 'Shining New Look Spring Cleaning'

Maesandong, Paldal-gu, Suwon (Dong Chief Dong Jeong-suk) conducted environmental cleanup work around Suwon Station on the 23rd with approximately 30 local residents as part of the 'Our Neighborhood Shining New Look' initiative.

This major cleaning operation, carried out ahead of Chuseok, was undertaken to tidy up the area around Suwon Station, which is visited by many tourists and people returning home for the holidays. As outdoor activities increase during this period when larger crowds are expected, the initiative focused on intensively cleaning habitual dumping sites and general waste to create a pleasant streetscape.

Dong Chief Dong Jeong-suk stated, "As 2026 Suwon Visit Year approaches and pleasant autumn weather begins, we expect an increase in tourists visiting the area around Suwon Station. We will carefully examine every corner of the site to ensure that visitors always find Maesandong clean and safe whenever they visit."

She also added, "We hope this activity will serve as an opportunity to foster a positive perception of a clean Suwon among citizens."
