Osan City Selected as 'Excellent Institution' in Gyeonggi Province Contract Review Operation Evaluation

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Osan City announced on the 8th that it has been selected as an excellent institution in the contract review operation evaluation conducted by Gyeonggi Province this year.

This is the result of comprehensive evaluation of contract review operations for all 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province, including the composition of dedicated contract review organizations, appropriateness of reviews, and budget reduction.

The 'contract review system' is a system for efficiently managing finances by reviewing cost calculations, application of construction methods, and appropriateness of designs before public institutions issue project contracts.

As of the end of October this year, the city conducted contract reviews for a total of 204 construction, service, and goods purchase projects, and achieved budget savings of 2.7 billion won through construction method changes suitable for site conditions and elimination of unnecessary work. Additionally, it significantly reduced the processing period from the regulatory 10 days to an average of 3 days, thereby improving the swift execution rate of project departments.

The city also received high praise for its contribution to sharing and activating work know-how across all departments by producing and distributing the 'Osan City Contract Review Manual and Case Collection,' which compiles 10 years of expertise in contract review operations.

Osan City was also selected as an excellent institution last year.
