Jangan-gu Produces and Distributes Two-Wheeled Vehicle Safety Guidelines
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon's Jangan-gu announced on the 19th that it has produced safety guidelines for two-wheeled vehicles as registrations of such vehicles have increased following the expansion of non-contact delivery services in the post-COVID-19 era.
The guidelines contain essential information that should be known when operating two-wheeled vehicles, as well as content related to fines and penalties. The district is distributing and promoting the guidelines to citizens visiting to register two-wheeled vehicles and to franchise restaurants and food establishments specializing in delivery services.
As of the end of November, 6,420 two-wheeled vehicles were registered in the district, an increase of 364 units compared to the end of November last year. As two-wheeled vehicles have surged in number, complaints about inconveniences in daily life caused by two-wheeled vehicle operators not complying with traffic regulations are also increasing.
Jangan-gu District Chief Lee Beom-seon said, "Recognizing that human life and safety are of utmost importance, I urge safe operations that comply with traffic regulations, and we will continue to make efforts to create a safe traffic culture going forward."
