Paldal District Selects Uman-dong as Target Site for 2024 Cadastral Survey Project
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Paldal District in Suwon announced on the 21st that it has selected Uman-dong area (119 parcels, approximately 32,000 ㎡) as the target site for the 2024 cadastral survey project.
The cadastral survey project is designed to protect citizens' property rights and efficiently manage land by correcting discrepancies between cadastral records maintained since the 1910s and actual land conditions.
Prior to proceeding with the project, the district has posted and announced the annual cadastral survey promotion plan on bulletin boards and websites for public viewing, including ▲current status of the project district ▲estimated project costs ▲matters concerning individual parcel surveys ▲detailed project plans ▲measurement implementation plans.
The district plans to hold non-contact resident briefing sessions in early next year targeting landowners and stakeholders in the project area to explain the necessity and procedures of the project and seek cooperation.
Meanwhile, the "2020 Namsu Cadastral Survey District" project, which has been underway since October last year, is a two-year project. Currently, work is in progress on installing temporary boundary markers for corrected land boundaries.
In January next year, the district plans to reflect landowners' opinions to resolve disputes between residents caused by land boundary issues and to reestablish efficient and rational cadastral boundaries.
Yoo Hye-suk, head of the Integrated Civil Services Division of the district, said, "We will actively promote and guide residents so they can easily understand the cadastral survey project, and we ask for active interest and cooperation from landowners for smooth project implementation."
