Osan City Recruiting Applicants for Sports Lecture Voucher Support

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Osan City is recruiting applicants for sports lecture voucher support until the 20th of this month to help economically disadvantaged children learn sports of their choice without financial burden.

Eligible applicants are children and youth ages 5 to 18 years old (born between 2003 and 2016) from households receiving national basic livelihood assistance, those in the lower-middle class bracket, legal single-parent support households, and crime victim families.

Applications can be submitted through the Sports Lecture Voucher website (svoucher.kspo.or.kr). While written applications are also available at city and district administrative welfare centers, online non-face-to-face applications are recommended to prevent COVID-19 transmission.

Selected applicants will receive support of up to 80,000 won per month for a minimum of 8 months. The support period and other details may vary depending on the COVID-19 situation and other circumstances.

A city official stated, "We hope this program can contribute to improving quality of life and alleviating social alienation for low-income children and youth through expanded opportunities to participate in sports."
