[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Park No-hun] Yongin City opened the 'Yongin City Children's Hall' website on the 13th, an online exclusive space for children, and began full-scale service operations.

The 'Yongin City Children's Hall' website is a communication space where children and youth under 18 years old can easily obtain information related to the city and freely express their opinions on city policies and projects.

The website was created as part of 'a city where we can communicate,' one of five major policy tasks for building a child-friendly city announced by the city previously.

The website can be accessed by clicking 'Yongin City Children's Hall' in the upper left of Yongin City Hall's main website. It draws attention for featuring a friendly design and information tailored to children's perspectives, departing from existing information and services primarily aimed at adults.

Main contents include ▲'About Our City' containing Yongin's history, symbols, natural landscapes, and cultural heritage ▲'City Hall Story' introducing the work of city hall and city council ▲'Child-Friendly City' featuring budgets and policies related to children ▲'Yongin Outings' promoting festivals, events, and experiential spaces ▲'Our Shelter' introducing toy libraries, community care centers, and youth facilities ▲'Story Plaza' where opinions can be shared, and various other sections.

A city official said, "We hope this website launch will encourage citizens to take greater interest in children's happiness and rights," and added, "Through the Children's Hall website built together with children, we will use it as a stepping stone to advance one step further as a child-friendly city."
