Suwon's Gwonseon-gu Removes and Incinerates 5 Tons of Illegal Advertisements

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Gwonseon-gu in Suwon announced on the 2nd that it has conducted intensive cleanup of areas with high potential for illegal advertisements, including the city boundary and Gokbanjeong-dong, based on the 2021 illegal advertisement cleanup promotion plan.

The District's Architecture and Construction Division cleaned up apartment lease banners, airlite advertisements, youth-harmful advertisements, and leaflet posters from the relevant areas from the 25th to the 31st of last month. A total of 5 tons of posters and leaflets were removed and incinerated using three teams of 12 personnel and three cleanup vehicles.

A district official stated, "This year, we will conduct intensive monthly cleanups by theme of illegal advertisements to ensure citizen safety, resolve traffic inconveniences, and create a clean urban landscape," and added, "We will take administrative measures such as imposing fines on chronic and bulk violators of illegal mobile advertisements."
