Suwon City Council Chairman Jo Seok-hwan Pays Respects to Medical Institutions and Social Welfare Facilities

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon City Council Chairman Jo Seok-hwan visited medical institutions and social welfare facilities on the 5th ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, accompanied by Planning and Economy Committee Chair Yang Jin-ha, Urban Environment Committee Chair Lee Hyun-gu, and Welfare and Safety Committee Chair Lee Mi-kyung, to encourage staff members.

Chairman Jo delivered consolation gifts to two screening clinics at Ajou University Hospital and Dong Suwon Hospital, as well as two social welfare facilities including Madonna of Peace and Star of the Sea.

He also expressed gratitude to medical professionals who are directly confronting COVID-19 and protecting citizens' health, as well as to social welfare facility staff who are quietly engaging in good works despite difficult circumstances.

Chairman Jo stated, "Although difficult circumstances continue, as we approach the Lunar New Year, the Suwon City Council will closely examine all aspects of citizens' lives so that no one is left out, and we will do our best to bring an end to COVID-19 as soon as possible."

Meanwhile, the Suwon City Council continues to visit related institutions and social welfare facilities within the jurisdiction each holiday season to pay respects and offer encouragement to those working for citizens.
