Uiwang City Provides Support for '080 Safe Call' Entry Log Service
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] Uiwang City announced on the 6th that it will provide financial support for approximately 2,200 businesses and facilities within the city, including entertainment facilities and general and casual restaurants, to use the '080 Safe Call' entry log service.
The Safe Call service is a system where facility users call a designated 080 number assigned to each business, after which the visitor's entry time and mobile phone number are transmitted to a separate computer server and deleted after four weeks.
This support initiative was established to assist small business owners who have actively complied with quarantine guidelines while the regional economy has contracted due to recent sharp increases in confirmed cases and intensive quarantine measures. The initiative also takes into account visitors who face difficulties using QR codes and aims to establish a rapid epidemiological investigation system.
Supported business types include ▷entertainment facilities ▷general restaurants ▷casual restaurants ▷bakeries ▷beauty and hair salons ▷lodgings ▷bathhouses. The city plans to expand the scope of support by monitoring COVID-19 trends and the effectiveness of the service.
The city prioritized holding a meeting with hygiene industry leaders on the 3rd to install the Safe Call entry log system, initially targeting hygiene businesses with high visitor traffic among multipurpose facilities, and urged active participation and promotion of the service.
The city anticipates that the Safe Call entry log system will play a significant role in preventing infection spread by enabling rapid identification of contacts and faster COVID-19 testing through its quick and convenient contact tracing capabilities.
Meanwhile, Safe Call designated numbers can be applied for from the 10th through the Uiwang City website or by phone (☎345-2821~3). After application completion, a call number will be assigned to eligible business types registered with Uiwang City.
